She now teaches full-time at a university in New Jersey, but spends all the in-between time in her little, yellow house in Portland or on Monhegan Island. Today I Feel Silly: And Other Moods That Make My Day by Jamie Lee Curtis. She regularly talks to children about the writing and creative process. ![]() She earned a BA from Hampshire College, an MFA from Emerson College, and has been publishing and teaching for the last twenty-five years. She has been writing and drawing since she was a young child and uses much of her childhood creative pieces in her current work. Lisa grew up in Brunswick with her artist mother and scientist father. Her work has won awards from Child Magazine, Parent's Choice, Bank Street, Entertainment Weekly, YALSA and has been featured in Maine’s Raising Readers program. Her first book, Alicia Has a Bad Day, was published in 1994, after she’d self-published and sold it all around the state of Maine. Lisa Jahn-Clough is an author and illustrator of over a dozen picture books, young adult novels, a series early-reader comic books, and her newest chapter book, The Kids of Cattywampus Street (called an “extraordinary book” by Lemony Snicket). ![]()
